Feed 400-1000 g per 100 kg body weight per day, combined with free access to roughage.

For example, feed a 500 kg horse 2-5 kg per day. Do not exceed 1.2 kg/100 kg body weight per day in total. Divide this over at least 2-3 meals per day. Ensure a minimum intake of 2 kg/100 kg body weight of roughage per day.
