Re-Leve is a grain-free muesli with high energy (calories). The feed was specifically developed to replace grain-based concentrates for horses and ponies that are easily excitable or respond poorly to grains. It contains several highly digestible ‘super fibers’ and plenty of vegetable oil, which eliminate the need for starch as an energy source, thereby reducing the risk of a nervous temperament. Increased levels of antioxidants, vitamin E, and selenium have been added to support proper muscle function and recovery. 


Re-Leve was developed by Saracen based on extensive research by Dr. Stephanie Valberg. It was formulated to provide sport horses with all the necessary energy for performance and maintaining body condition, without relying on grains. It contains dried soybean meal pellets that supply protein, trace elements, and yeast. 


Saracen recommends feeding 0.5 – 1 kg of Equi-Jewel alongside Re-Leve for horses that require additional energy. 


The high levels of vitamin E and selenium, together with the added electrolytes, support the muscles. If needed, KERx Restore SR can be added to the ration, which should always consist of at least 1.5% of the horse’s body weight in forage.

*Always try to feed a minimum of 1.5% of bodyweight as good quality forage. E.g. a 500 kg horse would eat 7.5 kg of hay per day. These eed levels give the minimum and maximum feeding rates for each range of bodyweights, ie a pony of any bodyweight between 200 to 400 kg could be fed between 1 - 2 kg per day, depending on their requirements. For horses in training, 1.2 – 1.45 kg per 100 kg of bodyweight – feeding levels will depend on the horse’s size, body condition and work intensity. It is recommended that 0.5 – 1 kg (1 – 2.2 lbs) of Equi-Jewel rice bran supplement is fed daily alongside Re-Leve to boost energy levels.
