AR Royal Fibre Alfalfa – Super Alfalfa is a locally produced, high-quality alfalfa mix with 5% flaxseed oil, specially designed for horses and ponies needing extra energy, protein, and fibre. Ideal to mix with regular concentrates or as a supplement to balancers.

Feeding alfalfa extends eating time, stimulates saliva production, and provides extra protein to support body weight and condition.

  • With 5% flaxseed oil to support intestinal function, immune system, muscle development and endurance
  • Low sugar content (2.8%) and low starch content
  • No molasses or other additives
  • High in protein and natural fibre
  • Ideal as an additive to concentrate and balancers
  • Extends eating time and combats stomach ulcers through increased saliva production
  • Suitable for horses prone to laminitis
  • Natural buffer against gastric acid and therefore suitable for horses with a sensitive stomach or stomach ulcers

Adjust the feeding rate depending on the goal you want to achieve.

  • If you mainly want to add extra fibers: feed 100 – 400g/100kg bodyweight per day. For example, feed a 500kg horse 750g-2kg each day.
  • If you want to add extra proteins or in case you only feed a balancer: feed up to 500g-1kg Super alfalfa per 100kg bodyweight each day. For example, feed a 500kg horse 2.5-5kg per day.

Do not exceed 1kg/100kg bodyweight per day in total. Divide into at least 2 or 3 meals per day. Ensure a minimum intake of 1.5kg/100kg bodyweight of forage per day. Fresh drinking water must be available at all times.
