Competition Fit Mix utilises a variety of Micronised cereals to ensure power output is maximised. The inclusion of digestible fibres help to top up the performance horse fibre intake, while the added oil helps support multiple competitive rounds by optimising energy metabolism. The extensive spectrum of vitamins and minerals ensures optimum nutrient absorption, whilst maintaining normal muscle function and immune health. Optimum levels of antioxidants help to support the horse from potential free radical damage. Competition Fit Mix contains a live yeast to help support a healthy environment in the hindgut, which is especially important in performance horses that may be fed lower forage and higher concentrate feed rations. Yeast also has many other benefits including optimum feed utilisation and maintenance of appetite in the performance horse.
The high-quality protein sources support cell, tissue and muscle repair to ensure mobility and athletic potential is maintained in the performance horse. The addition of a unique red apple flavouring encourages even the fussiest feeders to eat well. Competition Fit Mix can also be fed to good doers requiring more oomph but Saracen Horse Feeds strongly recommends that you speak to our nutritionist for individual feeding rates.
Ponies 200 - 400 kg bodyweight = 1 - 2 kg per day*
Horses 400 - 600 kg bodyweight = 2 - 3.5 kg per day*
Large horses >600 kg = 3.5 - 5 kg per day*
*Always try to feed a minimum of 1.5% of bodyweight as good quality forage. E.g. a 500 kg horse would eat 7.5 kg of hay per day. These eed levels give the minimum and maximum feeding rates for each range of bodyweights, ie a pony of any bodyweight between 200 to 400 kg could be fed between 1 - 2 kg per day, depending on their requirements.

Saracen Horse Feeds Ltd. has always been dedicated to producing nutritionally sound, innovative formulas and providing customers with accessible personal service. These commitments led Saracen to Kentucky Equine Research (KER), founded by Dr. Joe Pagan Ph.D. in 1988.
Saracen is the exclusive Kentucky Equine Research (KER) Team Member in the UK.
KER is the most prolific independent equine research center in the world, entirely committed to the advancement of breeding and athletic performance through nutrition.
