Senior is a nutritionally complete, designed to help support the older dog (approximately from seven years onwards) on a less active workload. The blend of functional fibres and carnitine helps with weight management and the inclusion of taurine helps support heart health. Senior benefits from the inclusion of a joint care package which helps to support the aging joints and mobility of an older dog. Like all Chudleys diets, Senior incorporates a blend of enhanced vitamins, amino acids, and trace nutrients which synergistically support a dog’s immunity, digestion, coat condition and general wellbeing.
The Lifestage range has been designed to meet the requirements of working dogs throughout their lifetimes. The range consists of functional diets including Puppy/Junior to give a pup the best start in life, Lamb Sensitive to give additional support to stomach and skin sensitivities, Lite for weight management and Senior for the working dog in his/her golden years.
Introduce the diet gradually over a period of 5-7 days until it replaces the previous food completely. The product can be fed dry or moistened with water or gravy to the consistency that your dog prefers. The amounts shown are only a guide and you should only feed sufficient amounts to maintain condition depending upon the level of activity enjoyed by and the conformation of your dog.
Size of dog | Suggested daily amount (g) |
---|---|
5-10kg | 110-180g |
10-25kg | 180-360g |
25-45kg | 360-550g |
45kg+ | 550g+ |
Always ensure that clean, fresh drinking water is available at all times. In order to maintain and control your dog’s weight to the optimum for the breed and size, the diet should be fed in conjunction with a year-round exercise programme. Do not be tempted to feed excessive amounts of titbits or treats.
