Adult ferrets: 50-75 grams daily

Introduce the diet gradually over a period of 5-7 days until it replaces the previous food completely. It is suggested that the total daily intake be offered on a free-choice basis. Do not leave stale food in the bowl for more than three days. Care must be taken to avoid long periods when feed is not available. Restricted feeding (max 3% bodyweight) should only be considered if the ferret becomes obese. Do not starve a ferret to reduce weight.

For young ferrets the dry diet should be fed soaked; this should continue to 16 weeks of age although young kits will take dry diet from as young as 4 weeks of age. Young ferrets will consume around 5-7% of their bodyweight.

The amounts shown are only a guide and you should only feed your ferret sufficient amounts to maintain condition dependent upon the level of activity enjoyed by your ferret and the reproductive phase. Lactating ferrets will need 3-5 times maintenance. Always ensure that clean, fresh drinking water is available at all times (consumption is typically 75-100ml per day). There is no requirements to supplement this diet with fresh meat.

Chudleys have formulated a specialist range of highly nutritious dog food, which contains substantial levels of quality protein alongside a patented blend of antioxidants, known as a Quality Life Care (QLC) package. QLC is a protection package with a specific blend of fruits and vegetables which are proven to work in synergy together to produce a more effective response to free radicals (which cause damage to cells), thus supporting your dog’s health and wellbeing.

Chudleys know first-hand how important it is to have peace of mind that your working dog is receiving optimum nutrition, whilst also ensuring that he is performing and looking at his very best. The Chudley family, renowned for breeding and training champion labradors, springer and cocker spaniels, had long been buying ingredients from our Islip feed mill before we decided to team up to create a targeted range of revolutionary feeds to specifically address the global needs of working dogs. The range has since been developed to meet all the requirements of a working dog whilst ensuring that there is a feedingsolution when in-and-out of season.
